As a small child, I remember always feeling like I was God’s special girl. I heard and understood Him differently than the way I heard my friends and family describe their relationship with Him. I felt His presence daily. In the brush of the wind, the crashing of a wave, or that still, small voice whispering to my heart. He has always spoken to me.
At thirty-one years old, I finally realized something: the times I thought I couldn’t hear Him, or wondered why He wasn’t speaking, weren’t because He had gone silent. I simply wasn’t in a position to hear Him, let alone even in the same room.
God never stopped speaking. I just had to learn how to be still enough to listen and choose to sit right next to him.
Throughout Scripture, God continually teaches us the importance of being still. When we’re stressed, when life feels heavy, when we’re confused, or when we simply don’t know what to do next, His Word reminds us where to turn.
The world as we know it feels like a scary place right now. Fear pours through our screens about what’s to come. Families are divided, hearts are heavy, and God seems to be missing from so many homes.
But let me remind you of something.
You are a son or daughter of the Most High. And have you ever noticed that Satan never wins? Not once in all of Scripture does he have the final victory. Do you know who is greater? Who is stronger? Who has overcome it all? Our Father.
So yes, these times may feel frightening, but I want you to remember something. Every season you thought you wouldn't survive, every moment you felt you had reached your breaking point, every battle you were certain would destroy you God carried you through.
And look at you. You're still here. You're still standing. Your children are still here. And the same God who carried you through yesterday is the God who will carry you through tomorrow.
Satan is loud. He thrives on fear, confusion, division, and doubt. But his noise does not mean he has power over you.
And if you're in a season where his voice seems louder than God's, perhaps it's time to ask yourself something:
Is God being silent, or have you become so surrounded by the noise of this world that you've forgotten how to hear Him?
Because God hasn't moved. He hasn't abandoned His children. And He certainly hasn't lost control.
The enemy may be loud, but our God is greater. Yesterday, today, and forever. 🤍
“Be still, and know that I am God.” — Psalm 46:10
Sometimes being still isn’t doing nothing.. It’s choosing to stop striving long enough to let God be God. It’s quieting the noise, surrendering the need to have all the answers, and trusting that He is already working in the places we cannot see.
When I don’t know what to do, I’m learning that I don’t always need to do more. Sometimes I just need to be still, listen, and let Him do what He does best.
Sometimes I feel like being a Christian in today’s world is one never-ending trust fall.
We’re asked to trust a God we cannot physically see, follow a path when we can’t see where it leads, and hold onto faith when everything around us is telling us to let go. We pray without knowing the answer. We obey without knowing the outcome. We keep walking even when we can only see enough light for the next step.
And somehow, we trust that He’ll catch us.
But the truth is, none of us make it out of this life alive. One day, every single one of us will leave this place. And when we do, so much of what we spent our lives worrying about won’t matter anymore.
But who we became will.
How we loved. How we forgave. How we treated people when no one was watching. What we did with the time God gave us. Whether we chose Him when choosing Him wasn’t easy.
Being here means something. This life means something. The person you are becoming through every heartbreak, every unanswered prayer, every season of waiting, and every leap of faith it all means something.
Maybe that’s what faith really is: falling without knowing exactly where you’ll land, but knowing whose hands are beneath you.
I may not know what comes next, but I know Who does.
And that’s enough for me to keep falling forward in faith.
Whenever I find myself overwhelmed by fear or anxious about what comes next, I think back to that little girl I once was. The little girl who was so often afraid, yet somehow always held on to faith as small as a mustard seed. Even then, she knew she was His little girl, and no matter what this world brought her way, her Heavenly Father would always be there to protect her and carry her through.
I remind myself just how small I am compared to such a mighty God. How the things that feel so big and overwhelming to me are so small in the hands of the Father I serve. No matter what life brings, no matter how uncertain this world becomes, I will always fall to my knees before Him. I will praise Him in the blessings, in the heartbreak, in the waiting, and in the storms. I bow to one God. I serve one God. And I will spend the rest of my life telling anyone willing to listen what Jesus has done for me. Not because I have lived a perfect life, but because I know exactly where I would be without Him. Everything I have, everything I am, and every breath I get to take is a reflection of His mercy and love for me.
Turn off the news for a moment. Put down your phone. Stop allowing the noise of this world to consume your heart and mind. Instead, open your Bible. Get on your knees. Talk to your Father. Ask Him what He is trying to teach you in this season, how He is calling you to prepare your heart, and how you can live each day ready to meet Him whenever He calls you home.
And I want to make something very clear to anyone who reads these blogs of mine. I pray you never mistake my love for Jesus or my willingness to speak about Him as me believing I am somehow holier, better, or more righteous than anyone else.
Because the truth is, I am a sinner who desperately needs her Savior.
I fail. I stumble. I make choices I know are not pleasing to God. And if I'm being completely vulnerable, these past few months I have allowed myself to drift further from Him than I ever intended. I let anger take root. I let pride speak louder than humility. I let selfishness, lust, loneliness and my own desires lead me into places I knew I didn't belong.
And perhaps the hardest part wasn't even the sin itself. It was the shame that followed.
The shame that made me feel unworthy of approaching God. The shame that convinced me I needed to somehow fix myself before I could come back to Him. The shame that kept me trapped in the very things I was desperate to be freed from.
And isn't that exactly how the enemy works?
He tempts you into the very thing that separates you from God, and then uses your shame to convince you that you're too far gone to return. He whispers that you've failed too many times, that you should know better by now, that surely God must be tired of forgiving you.
But thank God for conviction.
Because shame tells you to hide from God, while conviction calls you to run back to Him.
Shame tells you that you are too far gone. Conviction reminds you that the cross was never reserved for people who had it all together.
And what a beautiful thing it is to serve a Father who doesn't stop loving His daughter or son just because they lost her way for a little while.
I am still that little girl with faith as small as a mustard seed. Still imperfect. Still learning. Still falling to my knees. And still being carried by the same Father who has never once let me go
And most of all, never forget to thank God for His forgiveness. Because goodness, where would we be without it?
Listen, I feel fear too. I can sit here and encourage you to turn to God when the world feels frightening, but that doesn't mean I don't experience those same fears myself. I'm still human. I still worry. I still question what tomorrow might bring. I still have moments when my faith feels smaller than the fear standing in front of me.
But I'm choosing Jesus anyway.
Because if there's one thing Scripture has taught me, it's that the enemy may win a battle, but he will never win the war. Every story of redemption points back to the same truth: Jesus Christ is victorious. And His victory is already won.
Yes, these times are scary. I won't pretend otherwise. But please, don't allow Satan's trap of fear to lead you into his chains of shame, guilt, and despair. That's exactly where he wants you. So afraid of what's coming that you forget Who is already here.
Break those chains. Fall to your knees. Declare that Jesus Christ is Lord, and surrender your heart to the One who has never stopped fighting for it.
And I want to leave you with this thought.
What if the fear Satan keeps placing in front of you is nothing more than a green screen? A carefully crafted illusion, designed to make you believe that the darkness is bigger than the God standing behind it.
What if you've been so focused on the frightening picture the enemy is painting that you've forgotten to look beyond it?
Because behind all that noise, all those lies, and all that fear is something the enemy never wants you to see.
God's garden. His peace. His promises. His presence.
The enemy wants your eyes fixed on everything that could go wrong. God is asking you to fix your eyes on the One who has already overcome the world.
So tell me, why are we giving so much power to an enemy who has already been defeated?
Turn your eyes back to Jesus. There is still so much beauty beyond the fear. 🤍
Dear Heavenly Father,
What a time it is to be alive, Lord. There are things I never imagined I would witness in this lifetime, let alone the things I would personally have to endure. Yet through it all, here I am, still standing because of You. Thank You for Your endless forgiveness, Your unconditional agape love, and for finding me every single time I wander, even when I am the one who has walked away. Thank You for never giving up on Your daughter. Father, today I lift up our country to You. I know You see the evil, the corruption, the division, and the hearts that have grown so far from You. But I also know that none of it surprises You, none of it is greater than You, and none of it will ever have the final say. Because at the end of the day, the elephant and the donkey will never hold the power of the Lamb. Political parties will come and go, leaders will rise and fall, but Your throne will remain forever. Lord, I pray over our children, their innocence, their hearts, their minds, and their futures. I pray over our food, our water, our homes, and our incomes. Please continue to provide for families who are doing everything they can just to get by. And Father, I especially lift up the single parents to You. The mothers and fathers who carry the weight of an entire household on their shoulders. The ones who will wake up on Christmas morning with presents under the tree for everyone but themselves. The ones who come home after an exhausting day with nobody waiting to give them the hug they so desperately need. The ones staring at a stack of bills, knowing there is no second income coming and no one to take over when they are tired. Lord, remind them that doing it alone does not mean they are without You. Be their strength when they have none left, their comfort when the house gets quiet, and their provider when the numbers don't add up. In the mighty name of Jesus, I rebuke the enemy's influence over our homes, our hearts, and our minds. I pray against fear, deception, and division. Lord, let this be a year when thousands upon thousands come to know You and are baptized in Your name. Let hardened hearts soften, broken families find healing, and those who have spent years running from You finally realize Your arms have been open the entire time. I pray for the person reading this right now. You know their name, their story, the heaviness they carry behind their smile, and the battles they fight when nobody is watching. Please meet them right where they are. Remind them that Your mercy is greater than their mistakes, Your love is deeper than their pain, and Your grace is sufficient even when they feel unworthy of it. For those who cannot hear You, Lord, I pray they realize that perhaps they have been searching for Your voice in rooms You never called them to enter. Give them the courage to walk away from the noise, open the right door, and come running back to You. I also lift up the genuine Christians serving in positions of leadership. Protect them, Father. Guide their decisions, guard their hearts against greed and deception, and remind them that their authority is temporary, but their accountability to You is eternal. Continue to use them for what is good, just, and righteous.
And lastly, Lord, thank You for this little blog of mine. Thank You for giving me a place to pour out my heart, my struggles, my thoughts, and most importantly, my love for You. Whether these words reach thousands of people, two people, or whether this little space remains just between You and me, I pray I never lose sight of why I started. Because the size of the audience has never mattered. The glory has always belonged to You. If even one person reads something I've written and feels a little closer to You, a little less alone, or a little more hopeful, then Father, that is more than enough for me. Please continue to use me, even in my imperfections, even when I stumble, and even when I feel completely unqualified to speak about a love as great as Yours. Let my words never be about drawing attention to myself, but always about pointing hearts back to You. Let Your children come to know You on such a deep and personal level that they no longer see You as simply a name they hear on Sundays, but as their Father, their refuge, and the One who has never once abandoned them. And as for me, Lord, I'll continue to be Your girl. That same little girl with faith as small as a mustard seed, who grew into a woman who has seen enough of this world to know that nothing in it will ever compare to You. I will praise You through every storm, worship You in the waiting, thank You in the blessings, and cling to You in the heartbreak. I will bow before You and You alone. I will not allow the enemy to convince me that he is greater than the God who created me. I will not bow to false gods, to fear, or to the things of this world. Your will reigns. Your love endures. Your promises remain. And Your victory is eternal. And Father, as long as there is still a heartbeat in this chest of mine, I will use every breath You give me to tell this world what You have done for me. Not because I have earned Your love, not because I am deserving of Your mercy, but because You are a Father who loved His daughter long before she ever knew how to love Him back. Forever Your daughter. Forever Your servant. Forever grateful to be loved by You. In the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, Amen. 🤍
